Tech Intern – Storage Development

Role Overview

We are seeking a Storage Development Engineer Intern for our revolutionary platform Bryck. The intern will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing and deploying software on the Bryck platform. They will also work on performance analysis and troubleshooting, data recovery strategies and backup measures. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering is preferred. Experience or knowledge about data storage applications and cloud-based systems is also desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• •Understand the overall concept of the company/product, including brand, customer, product goals and other aspects of service.
• •Rotates through our divisions of responsibility and provides ideas to grow and improve the business.
• •Accept designated, business-focused projects to research, propose ideas and solutions and present final project during the internship.
• •Provide suggestions to management for improving customer service and internal processes.
• •Learn and become proficient in internal software systems.
• •Work collaboratively with other peer team members and other teams on the product like QA, Systemic Test Engineering support and other dependent engineering teams to deliver solutions, understand customer use cases and bring in the value from those teams into work done within the team.
• •Works independently with very little supervision. Should be able to work with other engineers and lead technical efforts

Required Qualifications & Skills

• •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant computer science branch.
• •Experience with high-level programming languages such as C, C++ and Python.
• •Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• •Experience in Algorithms and Data Structures/File Structures.
• •Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to articulate, communicate and influence solutions and design.
• •Knowledgeable in storage hardware architectures and high-level programming languages.
• •Knowledge of distributed system environments.
• •Stays up-to-date on new technologies to ensure they offer the latest solutions to their clients.
• •Scripting experience with Python or Bash.
• •Experience with machine learning or data mining.
• •Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, C/C++.
